Dennis Does Dog Parks of Australia....
Dog Parks on my Travels...
As we've been travelling for at least a month and along the way have stopped at Dog Parks various, Dennis would like to review them. Clearly the beaches are a given as being the best time to swim, play, dig, and roll so he doesn't want to include those on here.
So a rolling page with various observations it is and, as his paws are not particularly keyboard friendly, he has instructed us to carry out his wishes. Apparently his Lordship will 'vet' it prior to print ! 😳
1. Sydney Park , NSW
Very dry, but does have some water with stepping stones to jump in from. This was my foray into Australian dog habitats and have revisited here since as it was so good and gave the humans some exercise too. When there are no water restrictions there is also a separate doggy paddling pool. One of my favourites to have fun with Ted.
2. Moss Vale Off-leash Dog Park, NSW
Very dry and although fenced had other things like trees and bushes to sniff and pee against.Humans were able to walk hills too. Apparently, from a local mutt, this park was donated by a farmer in his will to remain as a dog park.
3. Western Sydney Off-leash Dog Park,NSW
Stinking hot and very very dry , with some shade under a few sparsely planted trees. Had benches for the humans but was waaaaaaay too hot and smoky so we didn't stay long !
4. Tuncurry Off-leash Dog Park , Mid-Coast NSW
Again very dry and very flat with no trees. It had two separate fenced off areas next to each other presumably if you didn't want to talk to other dogs? There was an agility section which I half heartedly attempted in order to keep Sharon & Von happy...
5. Sydney University, Veterinary Faculty,NSW
Guessing this was slightly naughty as Von and Sharon kept looking for security, but the grass was soooooooo green that I had to roll and roll and roll and so did Sharon & Von!
6. Smallest Off-leash Dog Park Award ??
Not sure what was going on here .......
